Children are central to the life of St James’. As a family-focused church we
actively welcome families with children of all ages. Our children’s work includes
activities for both pre-school and school-age children. Our regular activities are
listed below:
Kaboom!
A holiday-club style fun-filled morning designed to nurture and grow faith in Primary age kids
Meets: Every first and third Sunday (except school holidays)
At: St James’ Standering Hall (next to the church) 10.30-11.45am
For: KS1 & KS2. Pre-schoolers welcome with a parent or carer!

Squiggles & Wiggles
Meets: Thursday morning (9.30-11am)
At: St James’ Standering Hall (via Audus Street entrance)
For: 2-4 year olds with their parents
Squiggles & Wiggles is an action-packed session for parents & toddlers/pre-schoolers, including a time of worship designed to engage young children's innate spirituality. Come along and join us for a trial session. Due to popularity we often have to operate a waiting list.

Starting Rite
Starting Rite is a course for babies and parents, run jointly by St James' and St Wilfrid's Brayton
over five Friday mornings. It is a great opportunity to meet other parents and explore and play
together (there is also cake). Our next course is starting on Friday 24th April.
